Great food, Great Service & Gluten Free choices too!

We were in Venice for the last days of a trip around Italy- we were tired & hot. Staying near St Marks we found this lovely place in a sweet square by the Gluten Free sign out front. Having celiac disease is no joke and this menu sign made my day (weeks?.) The food was excellent- our group had pasta, salmon, meatballs, risotto, and (regular) pizza. The waiters were excellent and kind- along with a welcome sense of humor. We ate here 3 times during our stay. The wine was matched well, the food was served hot and timed perfectly. You won't get a rushed dinner, this place is for enjoying your meal, Italian style- so Americans: relax & enjoy your wine.

If you have any questions: ask! I asked about their GF pizza, & it was explained carefully that it was not hand made there. Gotta ask folks.

The gluten-free mushroom risotto was terrific- wish I could get that in the States. I'll keep trying.

I highly recommend them if you're anywhere near St Marks Piazza- it's about a 5-minute walk to this quiet spot and worth it. (especially if you need to eat gluten free & vegetarian)

Definetly, not worth the price. All of our cheaper meals were by far better than this place. I will admit that maybe we both got unlucky with our choices. My husband ordered a meat.... which looked grey and had a very funny texture. And I ordered the lobster pasta. I had a few bites and was done with it. The best thing about this restaurant was the beer and the laughs we had because our "fancy" dinner sucked so much.

The service was good and the people were nice, all together the place has a nice feel. On the menu they advertised homemade pizza, along with being gluten free, but when I ordered my gluten free pizza (I have an allergy) it was obviously boxed. Not the worst boxed pizza I've had. I'm sure the "normal" food is good

Tourists DONT GO HERE!!! As Americans we were totally ripped off!! Waiter said that the bottle of wine was 42 euros so we ordered 2 bottles... when the bill came we were charged 180 euros for just the wine!!! ALSO, he told us he was making us special garlic bread (which we didn't order) and then charged us 13 euros for that. I don't understand how this restaurant gets away with such dishonesty. In either case don't give this deceitful restaurant another cent. And by the way the food wasn't even that good.

We happened by as it was rainy & the restaurants with canopies were full. The waiter joked that if we didn't like it, we didn't have to pay.

There were some fish & crustaceans in a case on ice in the window. The waiter offered us our choice for 2 at 8 Euro a gram...we ordered monkfish roasted with olives & potatoes. While that was being prepared, we had Fromaggi Misti (assorted cheeses), and we ordered garlic bread, which was a pizza crust with garlic and oil. It was delicious, as were the cheeses.

Then the monkfish came out, and was wonderful.

Our bill came out to 111 Euro, which was a little steep, but it was worth it. Wonderful food and service.
